What is Google algorithm?

Google algorithm is like any other computer program that is used to solve problems. Google algorithm plays a special role in google’s ranking of the different websites. Special preference is given to those websites, which are listed in the Open Directory of Google. The websites listed there are ranked higher and made more easily accessible for any visitor. So in order to get one’s website ranked higher by Google it is must have been listed in the open directory of Google. This single thing carries much more weight then any thing else for Google to rank websites.
