CSS rankings
Does using CSS affect my rankings?
Effect of CSS on ranking is not direct, but as CSS or Cascading Style Sheets help lighten the page and organize page structure better, it has positive impact on the ranking. The CSS added to the page may be placed in external file. Search engines do not read CSS, but the clean HTML code forced by the CSS helps with SEO.
CSS is used in styling web pages and are usually written in HTML and XHTML. Color, font, layout etc are defined by CSS. Effect of CSS on ranking cannot be overlooked when the document content and presentation are separated with CSS, and content becomes accessible, flexible and simple.
